Jane Walton is a successful, qualified and experienced Adult Educator.

Previously a Childcare Curriculum lecturer and Manager delivering qualifications for Teaching Assistants Jane worked most recently as a key member of a lively, busy specialist School Support Staff Development Team.

This role involves delivering a bespoke service to over 100 local schools giving reliable, relevant and accurate information, advice and guidance directly to Support Staff members and discrete role specific networks  and also to Heads and Line Managers of large school workforces incorporating the  ever widening array of roles.

The sheer volume of Support Staff has created a workforce that has to be fit for the purpose of contributing to children’s achievement in school alongside highly trained teaching professionals and this ethos is key to the work that Jane undertakes. Specialist skills and knowledge required to deliver this professional service to schools including personnel and governors includes in depth knowledge and understanding of National Occupational Standards, Career Development pathways and qualifications including focussed support for Skills for Life and the development and maintenance of the local Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) programme.

Jane is very pleased to be joining KAA as she is committed to encouraging and enabling professionalism across the whole school work force and to the development of a culture of life-long learning in all adults supporting the education of our children.

  • The management course that we attended was extremely well organized. Karen was a superb trainer, whose knowledge and enthusiasm shone through. Each day was packed with exciting material and practical tips that we can utilize in our various departments. What impressed me was her own love of learning and the current research which she shared with us. Her own experiences helped us to make sense of our own.
