Leading and Managing Change
A two day programme for Headteachers, Deputy Heads and senior leaders in schools interested in improving school performance and teaching and learning.
Objectives:
• To increase participants knowledge and understanding about leading and managing change.
• To provide the opportunity to apply change management skills and tools in the context of the change agenda for schools.
• To prepare change implementation plans for participant’s own school context.
The programme will focus on the following key areas:
• knowledge, skills and understanding about change management;
• tools for change and impact;
• changing the culture of an organisation;
• dealing with resistance;
• the rational, political and emotional aspects of change;
• planning for the effective implementation of change.
This two day programme will explore current thinking around the leadership and management of change. There will be the opportunity to apply key skills and tools in the context of extending services and a school’s continuing improvement agenda through the use of case study materials.
