Profiling in the EYFS

A practical one day programme for EYFS practitioners working in English Speaking Schools. Aimed at both qualified and unqualified teacher practitioners, this programme is packed with practical approaches and strategies to improve quality of learning and development in EYFS.


Objectives:
• To identify the requirements and recommendations for assessment and profiling in the EYFS
• To explore a range of practical strategies to promote high quality observation and assessment
• To develop skills and resources to support learning, play and progression in EYFS


The programme will focus on the following key areas:
• the EYFS Framework
• key elements of effective practice (KEEP)
• using the EYFS profile
• observation and assessment
• preparing for transition to KS1


The programme provides rich opportunities for EYFS practitioners to affirm and develop their practice. Packed full of practical ideas and focused on best practice, participants will gain real insights into using the EYFS profile and assessment to guide and shape provision in their setting. Previous participants have found the programme informative, creative and exciting.

The programme is a stand – alone day or may be attended in conjunction with the Enabling Environments in EYFS programme.
