Enabling environments (EYFS)

A one day programme for EYFS practitioners working in English Speaking contexts. Aimed at both qualified and unqualified teacher practitioners, this programme is packed with practical approaches and strategies to improve quality of learning and development in EYFS.


Objectives:
• To identify the key principles of an enabling environment for young learners
• To explore a range of practical strategies to promote learning and development for diverse needs and learners
• To plan structured activities for play, learning and development in EYFS


The programme will focus on the following key areas:
• the EYFS Framework
• the areas of learning and development
• organising the EYFS setting
• providing practical activities for indoor and outdoor play
• using enabling environments to support play and exploration
• promoting positive relationships
• building a fabulous foundation for learning


The programme provides rich opportunities for EYFS practitioners to affirm and develop their practice. Packed full of practical ideas and focused on best practice, participants will gain real insights into providing an enabling environment for young learners. Previous participants have found the programme inspiring, creative and motivational.

The programme is a stand – alone day or may be attended in conjunction with the Profiling in the EYFS programme.
