A two day programme for aspiring leaders providing opportunities to explore current leadership and management practice and skills to ensure continual school improvement and high performance.

Objectives:

• To further develop participants’ knowledge, understanding and skills of leadership and management
• To consider current research and excellent practice around key leadership and management activities
• To identify practical, creative and motivational approaches to leading and managing in your school

The programme will focus on the following key areas:

• leading AND managing;
• leading and managing change;
• setting and communicating visions and values;
• knowing and evaluating in your context;
• improving teaching and learning;
• a curriculum for success;
• managing people (some of them difficult!);
• leading a high performing team
• leadership styles and skills; and
• planning strategically.

This programme provides the opportunity to update, reflect on and share leadership learning. You will leave the programme inspired and informed and ready to motivate people you currently lead and ready to take on greater responsibility in senior ledership.
