Building firm foundations for a fabulous Foundation Stage

Outcomes:
This programme will provide practical, creative and child-centred ideas for leading and managing the Foundation Stage more effectively.

Accreditation:
Karen Ardley Associates in partnership with Edge Hill University have developed a process for programme participants to have their professional learning recognised and accredited. Credits (up to 30) can be awarded that may be used towards qualifications such as Masters Degree or a Foundation Degree.

Objectives:
• To clarify the role of leader of the Foundation Stage.
• To identify and develop the generic skills for leading and managing the Foundation Stage.

The programme will focus on the key skills of:
• setting and communicating a vision for early years excellence;
• leading staff in the Foundation Stage;
• evaluating Foundation Stage provision;
• improving Foundation Stage provision; and
• planning the continuing development of the Foundation Stage.

The day will be fast-paced, person-centred and active. It will provide a wealth of realistic ideas and strategies for improving your leadership and management of early years provision.
