Vicky Coxon
Vicky has worked in education for over 30 years and has led and managed many initiatives in primary schools relating to teaching and learning and leadership and management. Vicky has also held a variety of posts in primary and secondary schools in Croydon, Bucks, Devon and Plymouth, where she worked for the university as a part-time tutor for the modular masters courses in Gifted and Talented, Learning Power and SEN. In 2000 she was appointed senior officer for SEN that included managing outreach services. Currently Vicky is a practising SIP for five schools and a trained Ofsted inspector. She leads on School Workforce matters, CPD and Gifted and Talented and is a trained assessor for the NACE Challenge Award. Vicky is also the co-leader for a cross-phase network of schools working on the Narrowing the Gap agenda . Other responsibilities include Headteacher appointment and induction and working as a school improvement adviser for a group of schools with identified needs. Vicky’s vision, commitment and appetite for improving the life chances of children remain strong and focussed.
